Modes Daily puzzle, Solo, Online with friends About Word Hunt Step from stone to stone across a quiet letter pond. Trace words through touching tiles, using each tile once per word. Qu is one tile and two letters. Find everyday words and longer discoveries in a three-minute Classic daily, or choose a Classic or Big practice grid with two, three or four minutes, or no timer. Invite friends to one shared grid in a server room; your finds stay private until everyone finishes. Optional shared-word cancellation adds a traditional competitive twist. Results reveal the everyday words nobody found, with no blocked or sensitive suggestions. Download the daily or cache practice for offline play.
How to play Word Hunt Press Start to reveal the grid and begin your round. Daily play uses Classic and three minutes. Trace through touching tiles, including diagonals. Use each tile once per word; Qu counts as two letters. Classic accepts three-letter words and longer; Big starts at four. Find each word once. Refused paths cost nothing. Words score 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 or 21 points by length. The longest tier starts at nine letters. Finish when time runs out, or choose Done early. Friend rooms compare totals after everyone finishes; Cancel shared words is off by default. More games 2048 : Slide numbered tiles around a 4 × 4 board so equal tiles combine, and build a tile worth 2048. Backgammon : Race your fifteen checkers around the board and bear them off first, with hitting, blocking and the doubling cube. Blackjack : Get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over, in a 25-hand game played for points. Brick Break : Bounce a felt ball through twelve toy-block walls and catch four falling power-ups. Checkers : Move diagonally, jump to capture and crown your men as kings. Take every piece, or leave your opponent no move, to win. FreeCell : Every card face up, four free cells to work with, and a puzzle you can almost always solve. Garden Crossing : Hop a hedgehog through a toy garden, across wind-up traffic, drifting leaves and a model railway. Gem Swap : Swap matte stones, build specials and reach a daily target. Gin Rummy : Draw and discard to arrange your ten cards into sets and runs. Knock when your loose cards add up to 10 or less, go gin with none, and reach 100 first. Go : Go, the board game: place stones to surround more of the board than your opponent, on a 9, 13 or 19 line board. Go Fish : Ask for the cards you need, fish from the pond when the answer is no, and collect the most books of four. Golf : Clear seven columns one rank at a time, across one, nine or eighteen holes. Letter Drop : A word puzzle against the clock: fill the missing letters of each clued word to clear it before the stack reaches the top. Liar's Dice : A bluffing dice game for two to six players: bid on the dice under every cup, or call the last bid a lie. Light Trails : A duel of trails: race up to three computer riders across a glass plaza, cut them off, and be the last rider still moving. Ludo : Bring four paper lanterns home in a family race. Mancala : Sow seeds around the board, chain extra turns and capture across it. The most seeds in your store wins. Map Guess : Name a country outline in six guesses, with distance and direction clues. Memory Match : Turn over two cards at a time and find every matching pair, alone or with a friend. Minesweeper : Uncover every square without a mine. Each number tells you how many mines touch it. Mini Golf : Aim and putt through nine holes in a rooftop garden. Naval Battle : Hide five ships on a 10 by 10 chart, then take turns firing at the enemy fleet. Sink every ship to win. Nim : Take turns removing stones from the heaps. Take the last stone to win, or play the version where the last stone loses. Nonogram : Fill the squares the numbers call for, one row and column at a time, and reveal a hidden picture. Old Maid : Draw a card from your neighbor, pair it up, and try not to be the one left holding the odd queen. Paddle : The original video-game sport: return the ball past a computer opponent, angle your shots, and be first to the target score. Pig : Roll one die as often as you dare, but a 1 wipes out your turn. First to bank 100 wins. Pipe Link : Join numbered garden valves and fill every tile without crossing pipes. Pyramid : Clear a seven-row card pyramid with pairs adding up to thirteen. Queens : Stitch a patchwork puzzle together: one wooden queen in every row, column and fabric region, with none touching. Reversi : Outflank your opponent to flip their discs to your color. When neither player can move, the most discs wins. Rock Field : Steer through a glowing field of drifting rocks, split them into fragments and dodge slow drone shots. Rock Paper Scissors : Both players throw rock, paper or scissors at the same moment. Win the rounds your match needs. Shift 23 : A betting card game for up to five: get your hand close to +23 or −23 before a Shift changes every card you haven’t sheltered. Shut the Box : Roll the dice and shut tiles that add up to the roll. Leave the lowest total, or shut the whole box. Snake : The arcade classic: steer a growing snake around a walled garden, eat the fruit, and never hit the wall or yourself. Spades : Bid the tricks you and your partner will take, with spades always trumps. Make your bid, dodge the bags, and reach 500 first. Spider : Build eight runs from king to ace in one suit across ten columns, with one, two or four suits. Sudoku : Fill the grid so every row, column and box holds the digits 1 to 9 once. Every puzzle has one solution, reached by reasoning alone. Tic-Tac-Toe : Take turns marking a 3 by 3 grid. Get three in a row across, down or diagonally to win.
