About Ludo

Race four paper lanterns around a stone courtyard and into your own home path. Roll a six to enter and roll again, capture lone opponents, and land exactly to finish. Play with friends or three levels of computer opponents. Safe squares, blocks, capture and home bonuses, and four-player teams are optional; every rule starts off. Shapes, letters, spoken positions and a full keyboard route make the board readable without color.

How to play Ludo

  1. Roll a six to enter from your yard, using the whole roll. A six gives another roll; the third consecutive six ends the turn without moving.
  2. Move a token the full roll. A lone opponent on the destination returns to its yard. Opponent doubles protect their square.
  3. After fifty track steps, turn into your own home path. Finish with an exact roll; the first player with all four home wins.
  4. Safe squares prevent captures. Blocks also forbid passing another color’s double. Bonus rolls reward captures and home once. Teams joins opposite players; both colors must finish.
