About Spider

Spider Solitaire is played with two decks’ worth of cards in ten columns. Build down by rank, move runs of a single suit, and gather each suit from king to ace: a finished run leaves the table. Clear eight runs to win. Start with one suit, which is gentle, then try two or four. Every deal has a number, so you can replay it or compare it with a friend.

How to play Spider

  1. Put a card on any card one rank higher, of any suit. Any card or run can go into an empty column.
  2. A run of cards in one suit, in order, moves together. Mixed-suit runs can be built but not moved as one.
  3. A face-down card turns face up when you uncover it.
  4. Deal ten more cards, one onto each column, when no column is empty. The stock holds five deals.
  5. A run from king to ace in one suit leaves the table. Remove eight to win.
  6. The score starts at 500, drops by 1 for each move or deal, and rises by 100 for each finished run. Undo as often as you like.
