About Euchre

Name trumps, order up the dealer and take tricks with a partner at an original County Fair quilt table. The two jacks of trump’s color are the bowers, strongest of all. Win three tricks to make your bid, all five for a march, or go alone for a four-point sweep. Play three computer levels, pass the device between private hands or invite a four-person room. Choose target five or ten, optional Stick the Dealer and Farmer’s Hand, with spoken bids, keyboard cards and saved games offline.

How to play Euchre

  1. Deal five cards to four players and turn one up-card. Partnerships are opposite seats.
  2. In round one, accept the up-card’s suit or pass. The dealer picks it up and privately discards one, unless sitting out for a lone partner.
  3. After four passes, name a different suit or pass. Four more passes rotate the deal; Stick the Dealer requires the dealer to name a suit.
  4. Follow the effective suit led. Trump’s jack is the right bower, and the other jack of its color is the left bower, also a trump.
  5. Makers need three tricks: three or four score one, all five score two, and a lone five-trick march scores four. Defenders who take three score two. First partnership to ten wins; five is a short option.
