About Equation

Open a graph-paper notebook and find a true hidden equation in six guesses. Classic uses eight tiles and all four arithmetic operators; Junior uses seven tiles, adding and taking away with numbers no higher than twenty. Each symbol receives a mark: right place, wrong place or absent. Repeated symbols use only as many marks as the answer contains. Every equation must be true, with multiplication and division before addition and subtraction. All steps stay whole and nonnegative. Play both daily variants, keep separate records, share circles without the answer, or practice offline.

How to play Equation

  1. Choose Classic, with eight tiles, or Junior, with seven tiles and numbers up to 20. Both allow six guesses.
  2. Type a true expression followed by equals and one number. Use at least one operator, with no leading zeros or signed numbers.
  3. Work multiplication and division first, left to right, then plus and minus. Every intermediate step must stay whole and at least zero.
  4. Check marks mean right place; rings mean wrong place; dots mean absent. Each answer symbol can justify only one mark.
  5. Match the answer tile for tile to win. Rearranged sums receive marks and do not win. Invalid or repeated guesses cost nothing. Answers never use a lone zero, times one or divide by one.
