About Dominoes

Settle at a shaded courtyard table with a double-six set of ivory tiles. Match either open end, shed every tile, and score the pips your opponents hold. Choose Draw or Block, play with optional Fives scoring, and share the table with up to three friends or computer opponents. Hidden hands stay private in pass-and-play and server rooms. Play with a roving keyboard hand, taps or dragging, turn on numerals to help count pips, and resume a saved game offline.

How to play Dominoes

  1. Match either half of a tile to the left or right open end. Doubles sit crosswise and never form extra branches.
  2. The highest double leads the first hand automatically. Later, the previous winner may lead any tile.
  3. In Draw, tiles are drawn automatically only when none in your hand can play. Block passes instead.
  4. Empty your hand to score the other hands’ pips. A blocked hand goes to the least pips, with tied blocks scoring nothing.
  5. Standard targets are 100, or 150 with Fives. Short halves the target. Fives scores positive multiples of five on the open ends; the current hand always finishes.
